Markham Road

Scarborough, Ontario

This project included the acquisition and development of 30 acres of land at Markham Road and Milner Avenue (just north of Hwy 401) in Scarborough (now Toronto, ON) for a 100,000 sq. ft. office building, a 55,000 sq. ft. industrial complex and 160 residential homes (apartment and townhomes). The office building was initially constructed and sold to Scarborough Utilities Commission for use as their head office. It has since been retrofitted to accommodate the Provincial Courts. Surrounding lands were developed for a 100-suite rental apartment building and a 60 unit townhouse project known as “Markham Corners” in a joint venture. The residential component was retained as an income producing rental property for several years and eventually sold to an institutional purchaser for investment purposes.
